Nomination Form

Help us recognize outstanding high school students in your area by nominating yourself or someone who you believe is deserving of our High School Hero Award.

NOMINATION CRITERIA:

Good academic standing
Must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in high school
Highly involved in both community and school
Person goes “Above & Beyond” to promote school spirit, serve the community, help others, and is a positive role model to others

NOMINATION PROCESS:

Please complete the nomination form in its entirety and drop off at any Honsador Lumber location. Form may also be mailed to Honsador Lumber’s Corporate Office at 91-291-Hanua Street | Kapolei, HI 96707. Attn: High School Hero Committee. You may also submit your form online by visiting our website: www.honsador.com/highschoolhero. Accepting nominations February 1, 2023 through March 31, 2023. Winner will be announced in April 2023.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Each season, the HSH Committee will meet to review the nominations. Nominees will be judged on the basis of the nomination criteria.

AWARD:

Honsador Lumber will donate $250 in the student’s name to the academic department or nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization of the winning student’s choosing. The winner will also receive a $1,500 cash prize for themselves along with press and media coverage provided by Honsador Lumber

ADDITIONAL (OPTIONAL) ITEMS TO INCLUDE WITH FORM:

Students may include up to two portrait type wallet size photographs. These photos will be used for publicity purposes and will not be returned. You may also include up to 3 copies of awards, certificates, special honors and letter of recommendation from teachers, coaches, principal, employers, community leaders, etc.
